When finishing sixth form i had plans of just going straight into an apprenticeship scheme however at the last minute i had a change of thought the day before results day. I told my mother i would like to go university somewhere nearby so that i don’t have to live on campus and pay rent, i know it’s great to become independent and live by yourself however since my father is retired i would have my clothes washed, ironed and lunch and dinner cooked for me everyday which i would miss if i was living on campus alongside paying rent just seemed not to make any sense. So the following day i picked up my results and received a double distinction in Media Studies Level 3 Cambridge technical which made it clear to me that i would like to further my education as much as possible and find a university nearby in regards to media studies where my mother and i stumbled across Kingston university which isn’t far from where i live which is Croydon and i phoned the university and told them my results for English GCSE and Level 3 media studies and scanned my results and sent them directly to the supervisor in charged with the university applications and applied through clearing and completed my ucas in a day alongside with my student finance application form. A week later i checked my ucas and was relived that Kingston university accepted my application, so i had my dad buy me a new laptop as my award for being accepted into university.
